Preparing Artwork for Fix Product Details

Preparing Artwork for Fix Product Details

Written by Erika

Use this guide when you are preparing a reference image for Fix Product Details.

Fix Product Details works best when the reference is clean, cropped, and easy for Riverflow to understand. The goal is not to upload every file you have. The goal is to upload the clearest version of the exact artwork area you want to correct.

Artwork requirements

Use artwork that is:

  • cropped to the visible artwork area only

  • sharp at 100% zoom

  • free from dielines, crop marks, fold lines, bleed marks, safety lines, printer notes, and annotations

  • exported from the original artwork file where possible

  • faithful to the product shown in the generated image

Do not upscale a low-quality file just to make it larger. A blurry large file is still a blurry file.

When to add more reference images

You can attach up to four reference images.

Add more than one when:

  • multiple products are visible in the generated image

  • multiple sides or panels of the same product are visible

  • different visible areas use different labels, logos, copy, or claims

  • one reference would include too much artwork that is not visible in the generated image

Each reference should be cropped to the specific visible area it is meant to fix.

Size and format

Recommended:

  • 3000-6000 px on the longest side

  • PNG where possible

  • high-quality JPG/JPEG or WebP if PNG is too large

Limits:

  • maximum size: 6000 px wide and 6000 px high

  • maximum file size: 40 MiB per reference image

  • accepted formats: PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP

Quick checklist

Before uploading, check:

  • Is this the exact artwork visible in the generated image?

  • Is all important text readable?

  • Have dielines and print marks been removed?

  • Is the image cropped to the area that needs fixing?

  • Am I uploading one clear reference per product or visible panel?
