Use this guide when you have approved images and need to create the same assets in new aspect ratios at scale.
For this workflow, use the Change Aspect Ratio action in Batch. You do not need to write a prompt. Riverflow uses the target ratio and Center location settings to adapt the frame across every selected image.
Use This For
Use this workflow when you need to:
create paid social crops
produce ecommerce image variants
adapt images for stories, reels, feed, and landscape placements
turn one approved image set into several channel-ready formats
resize many product or campaign images without editing each one manually
Use the single-image Change aspect ratio action or Editor when you only need to fix one asset. Use Batch when the same ratio change needs to happen across many assets.
Before You Start
Use source images that are already approved or close to final.
Before creating the batch, check that:
the product or main subject is clearly visible
important text, logos, faces, hands, or props are not too close to the edge
the image has enough surrounding space to extend or crop naturally
the image quality is high enough for the final placement
you know which part of the image should stay protected in the new frame
If an image is already very tightly cropped, a new wide or vertical version may be harder to create cleanly. For one-off fixes, use Editor or Quick edit. For a new creative direction from a product image, create the image first in Photoshoots or Images, then use Batch to create ratio variants once you have an approved asset.

Add the images that you want to adapt.
Choose The Target Ratio
In the Batch setup, choose the aspect ratio you want Riverflow to create.
Common target ratios include:
1:1for square placements4:5for portrait feed placements9:16for stories, reels, and vertical placements16:9for landscape placements
Other available ratios may include 21:9, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4, 3:4, and 2:3.
Before running the batch, decide which ratios you actually need. Generating unnecessary ratios creates extra review work.
Create The Batch
Open
Batch.Select the images you want to resize.
Choose
Change Aspect Ratio.Choose the target aspect ratio.
Choose the
Center locationfor the main subject.Review the batch setup and credit information.
Run a small test batch first if you are changing many images.
Review the outputs.
Run the full batch when the test looks right.
Download the approved results.
Review The Outputs
After the batch has run, review the outputs in Batch and decide which ones to keep.
For each output:
choose
Approveif the image is ready to usechoose
Rejectif the image is not good enough or should not be used
Reject an output if the product has been cropped, the composition feels wrong, important text or logos are missing, or the background extension looks unnatural.
Tips
Run a small test batch before resizing hundreds of images.
Choose
Center locationbased on where the main product, person, or message sits in the source image.Use source images with enough surrounding space where possible.
Review vertical formats carefully because platform UI can cover the top and bottom of the image.
Keep approved source images unchanged and treat resized outputs as new variants.
